Strawberry-Mint Cone

The Strawberry-Mint Cone is the perfect snow-cone for summer. If you’ve ever wondered what summer tastes like, you’ve just found a recipe for it. For the record, this was a kitchen experiment, so I’m 99% sure this is original. Anyway, this is the snow-cone maker I use. Let’s get started: 




What You’ll Need:


  • A pot

  • A stirring stick

  • A strainer (colander)

  • A container



Ingredients:


  • 2 cups of water

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 2 cups of mashed strawberries (I just use a potato masher)



Instructions:


Step 1 - Add the 2 cups of water and sugar to the pot.


Step 2 - Turn the burner on medium and stir mixture until combined.


Step 3 - Mash the strawberries and add them to the pot.


Step 4 - Stir occasionally until it boils.


Step 5 - Turn the burner to low and simmer for 15 minutes.


        Step 6 - Turn the burner off and let it sit to cool and infuse.


Step 7 - Strain the syrup into a container.


Step 8 - Enjoy!
